Hercuclas is UCLA's Hydrogen fuel-cell racing team. As one of two university teams from the United States, we represent not only UCLA, but also the nation as forerunners in green technologies.

We strive to promote environmentally-friendly practices and sustainable technologies in a
competitive and exhilarating racing environment while educating future engineers.

Hercuclas is made up of over 30 undergraduate and graduate students, and three faculty advisors who are passionate about our project, the environment, and racing.

The team is devided into six student sub-groups diligently work on different aspects of the project:

1. Chassis: Structural development of kart
2. Low Voltage: Computer subsystems for kart control
3. High Voltage: Motor and power conversion
4. Hydrogen System: Fuel cell storage, maintenance, and cooling
5. Public Relations: Promotion and public awareness of Hercuclas Racing
6. Safety: Ensuring safety standards are met
